Scones

Ingredients

  • 225g strong white flour.
  • 5ml baking powder.
  • 1ml salt.
  • 25g caster sugar.
  • 50g butter, diced and cold.
  • 150ml full fat milk.

Directions

  1. Preheat fan oven to 180°C.
  2. Put everything but the milk into the food processor and pulse to make bread crumbs.
  3. Add the milk until a dough is formed.
  4. Roll into a big circle, about 2cm thick.
  5. Bake at 220°C.

Delicious warm from the oven with fruit jam (we like raspberry) and whipped cream, or just with a cup of tea.
