We call this heart attack on a plate and have it once a year. It's rich, relatively low washing up and fills you up. Do not plan a second course with this meal. Serves two.

Home made lasagne

Ingredients

  • 250g mince
  • 135g fresh Lasagne
  • 1 onion
  • 1.5 tins of chopped tomato
  • basil to taste
  • 1 glove of garlic
  • paprika to taste
  • 100g cheddar cheese, grated
  • 20g parmesan, grated
  • 180g tub philadephia cheese (original)

Directions

  1. Fry onion in some oil. Add mince and herbs and cook until mince changes colour.
  2. Put a layer of mince in a small bread tin
  3. Sprinkle half the cheddar, add half the philly in discrete spoons sized dollops
  4. Pour in half the canned tomatoes
  5. Cut a lasagne sheet to fit
  6. Repeat steps 2-5
  7. Sprinkle on the parmesan.

Cook for 25-30 mins at 170°C in a fan oven. Divide into two and place on plate. Serve with peas.
