We call this heart attack on a plate and have it once a year. It's rich, relatively low washing up and fills you up. Do not plan a second course with this meal. Serves two.
Home made lasagne
Ingredients
- 250g mince.
- 135g fresh lasagna.
- 1 onion, diced.
- 1½ tins of chopped tomato.
- basil to taste.
- 1 glove of garlic.
- paprika to taste.
- 100g cheddar cheese, grated.
- 20g parmesan, grated.
- 180g tub philadephia cheese (original).
Directions
- Fry onion in some oil.
- Add mince and herbs and cook until mince changes colour, remove from heat.
- Put a layer of mince in a small bread tin
- Sprinkle half the cheddar, add half the philly in discrete spoons sized dollops
- Pour in half the canned tomatoes
- Cut a lasagne sheet to fit
- Repeat steps 2-5
- Sprinkle on the parmesan.
Cook for 25-30 mins at 170°C in a fan oven. Divide into two and place on plate. Serve with peas.
