Home made Bread rolls

This uses the same recipe as the Bread rolls in terms of ingredients. This stores amazingly well and gives you the chance of fresh rolls in 10 minutes whenever you want them!

The part baked rolls' method is directly from Part baked rolls video.

Ingredients

  • 5ml Yeast.
  • 450g Strong White Flour.
  • 2.5ml Sugar .
  • 25g Butter or 15ml sunflower oil.
  • 2.5ml Salt.
  • 1 medium egg.
  • 250ml Water.

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into bread machine, select "Dough" on the menu. Start the machine and come back to it 2 hours and 20 minutes later.
  2. Shape rolls in 8 or 10 equal parts (I tend to do 8). Place on a sheet of grease proof paper on to a baking tray in a 40°C oven.
  3. Prove for 10 minutes. Turn up the oven to 180°C (fan oven) or 200°C on bake mode, if possible rapidly heat. It is advisable to remove tray from oven as such heating can effect the flour.
  4. Cook for a further 14 minutes. Allow to fully cool. Wrap and stow in freezer until you want them.
  5. When cooking, cook from frozen for a further 8-10 minutes at 240°C (bake mode). Ideally, do not use a baking tray.
