This is my favourite dessert from my favourite Italian restaurant. Adapted from The Ask Italian Cookbook for two.
Frangipane
Ingredients
- 40g butter
- 50g caster sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2.5ml vanilla essence
- 50g ground almonds
- 12g plain flour
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar
- Beat in egg and essence
- Fold in flour and ground almonds
