This makes twice as much as you need in Apple rustica. Freeze what you don't use!

Italian Shortcrust Pastry

Ingredients

  • 225g plain flour
  • 100g icing sugar
  • 125g salted butter, chilled
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 30ml water

Directions

  1. Put everything but the water and yolks into blender and mix to a coarse meal
  2. Add the eggs and water and mix to a ball.
  3. Flatten and encase in grease proof paper.

Chill for at least an hour.
