Microwave chicken stock

Based on [1] but without the annoing adverts and converted for European units and microwaves. I haven't tried this out yet.

Ingredients

  • 70g cooked chicken bones (from an old roast chicken)
  • 250ml cold water
  • 1/2 garlic clove
  • 10-15ml chopped vegetables, such as onion, carrots, or celery
  • Seasoning to taste (salt and white pepper)

Directions

  1. Put everything listed in the ingredients into a big microwave jug.
  2. Cook on 1000W power for 3-4 minutes - stir halfway through to check it's OK, please.
  3. Stand for 2 minutes then strain and adjust seasoning if required

If not using immediately, refridgerate for up to three days.

If doubling amounts, remember to double the time or the power as it's a microwave!
