Honey roast ham
Ingredients
- 750g Unsmoked gammon joint
- Cloves
- Honey
- Cherries to garnish (optional)
Directions
- Cook ham as appropriate in The roaster, covered in foil.
- 30 minutes before due to end, remove from oven and score with a sharp knife, forming a "hatched" pattern
- Where the lines intersect, put a whole clove into the ham.
- Cover with honey and return to oven for 30 minutes.
Onion sauce
Ingredients
- 1 small onion sliced
- 25g butter
- 25g corn flour
- 150ml milk
- white pepper and salt for flavour
Directions
- Heat onions and butter.
- Once butter is melted, add flour and stir until a roux is formed.
- Add milk and bring to boil
- Cook for 15-20 minutes and then place in jug and keep warm until served.
