Apple cider and cheddar cheese Fondue
Ingredients
- 225g cheddar
- 10ml cornflour
- 120ml cider or apple juice
- 30ml lemon juice
- 1ml salt
- nutmeg to taste
- pepper to taste
Directions
- Grate cheddar and mix well with cornflour.
- Heat apple liquid with lemon juice until simmering.
- Add cheese a handfull at a time, ensuring it is melted before adding more.
- Add herbs and seasoning and stir for 3 - 5 minutes until thickened.
Serve with bread for a taste and substantial meal for 2!
