This is used when you need a sweet shortcrust pastry but this is smoother and more flavoursome.
French pastry
Ingredients
- 150g plain flour.
- 40g caster sugar.
- 75g butter.
- 1 egg.
- 2.5ml grated lemon rind.
- 1ml salt
Directions
- Mix in the food processor until you have a smooth pastry
- Stand for 30 minutes - if you don't need all of it, this is the time to place half in a freezer bag and place in the freezer.
