Adapated from Roasted Brussels Sprouts Bacon and Chestnuts.
Roasted sprouts, bacon and chesnuts
Ingredients for 4 on Christmas Day
- 200g sprouts, halved.
- 90g chestnuts, skinned, and halved.
- 1 slice of bacon, cut into thin strips.
- 15ml olive oil.
- Seasoning to taste.
Directions
- Blanch sprouts for 3 minutes.
- Drain sprouts, (if they were frozen, cut into halves) and toss into big mixing bowl.
- Cut in bacon and nuts, season and pour on olive oil.
- Mix well.
- Place on dry baking tray and place in oven.
- Cook for 22 mins @ 200°C convection or 180°C in fan oven - do not preheat.
Serve alongside turkey for a seasonal treat on the big day. Great cold next to bubble and squeak too.
