Microwave chicken stock
Based on [1] but without the annoing adverts and converted for European units and microwaves. I haven't tried this out yet.
Ingredients
- 70g cooked chicken bones (from an old roast chicken)
- 250ml cold water
- 1/2 garlic clove
- 10-15ml chopped vegetables, such as onion, carrots, or celery
- Seasoning to taste (salt and white pepper)
Directions
- Put everything listed in the ingredients into a big microwave jug.
- Cook on full power for 5 minutes
- Stand for 2 minutes then strain and adjust seasoning if required
If not using immediately, refridgerate for up to three days.
If doubling amounts, remember to double the time as it's a microwave!
