In draft!! Simple and quick, adapted from Homemade Ginger ale.
Home made ginger ale
Ginger water
Ingredients
- 140ml water.
- A whole root ginger, grated. Keep the skin on, it will make it more gingery.
Sugar syrup
Ingredients
- 40ml water.
- 40ml sugar.
Soda water
Ingredients
- 120ml water.
- 0.5ml bicarbonate of soda.
Directions
- Make the ginger water.
- Boil the 140ml of water then add the grated ginger to it.
- When re-boiling, simmer for 5 minutes.
- Allow to completely cool for 20 minutes or so.
- Strain out the ginger bits.
- Make the sugar syrup.
- Get its water boiling (a kettle works).
- Pour out the 40ml of boiling water and dissolve the sugar in it.
- Allow to cool for 20 minutes.
- Make the club soda.
- Add the bicarbonate of soda to the water and mix throughly.
- Fizz in the soda stream.
- Construction.
- Add the sugar syrup to the ginger water and the club soda.
- Chill for an hour in a sealed bottle.
Serve into individual glasses, with some ice and a straw.
