Ingredients

  • 130g spiral or other short pasta.
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped.
  • 5ml English mustard powder.
  • 22ml plain flour.
  • 225ml whole milk or diary free alternative that can be cooked.
  • 125g vegetarian mature cheddar, grated.
  • 25g parmesan (or vegetarian alternative), grated.

Directions

  • Cook pasta for 2 minutes less than the pack says. If it's fresh pasta, don't bother cooking first.
  • Preheat oven to 180°C for a fan assisted oven or 200°C if not.
  • Melt butter and add garlic, mustard, and flour, finally add the milk to make a roux (typically 5 mins of cooking).
