If you joint chickens, you might end up with a few bits left over and an evening when you don't want anything overly involved. This is quick, nutritious and tasty.

A quick chicken meal for two

Ingredients

  • Raw chicken breast and wings - you need to know the weight and then us Microwave roaster.
  • Potatoes for boiling.
  • Frozen veg for boiling.
  • 10ml dried bisto chicken grannules.

Directions

  1. Weigh chicken and work out time in the Microwave roaster.
    If chicken is going to be less than the boiled potatoes, get the spuds going.
  2. Once boiling set the timer on the potatoes.
  3. Set the chicken off for the half the estimated time in a glass roasting tin on 190°C and simmer.
    Remember to place the joints "skin side down".
  4. When the microwave stops, flip the pieces, and start the second half the cooking time.
  5. Add the remaining vegetables to the potatoes pot.
  6. Prep the gravy jug ready for the vegetable water. Sit down for a few minutes.
  7. When the microwave finishes the cycle, get the chicken out of the oven and check everything is cooked.
  8. If it is - drain the water in to the gravy pot and serve up the vegetables.
