This I tried as an expirement because I wanted something home-cooked but quick with a low amount of washing up.  Spring onions mean they don&amp;#039;t need any more cooking than the tomatoes.  It worked really well and was much more interesting than pesto!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
= Tomato sauce for one cooked in microwave =&lt;br /&gt;
== Ingredients ==&lt;br /&gt;
* 50g dried pasta shapes - fussili is ideal.&lt;br /&gt;
* 227g tinned chopped tomatos.&lt;br /&gt;
* 3 spring onions, skinned and chopped.&lt;br /&gt;
* Smoked praprika to taste.&lt;br /&gt;
* 2.5ml fresh chopped basil.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
== Directions ==&lt;br /&gt;
# Get pasta into boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.&lt;br /&gt;
# Empty tin of tomatoes into a microwave glass casserole dish (ideally that comes with a vented/ventable lid).&lt;br /&gt;
# Sprinkle in the spring onions.&lt;br /&gt;
# Stir well, put lid on pot.&lt;br /&gt;
# Microwave for 1min 20 seconds on medium (600W).&lt;br /&gt;
# Stir in the chopped basil, recover.&lt;br /&gt;
# Microwave for 20 seconds on high.&lt;br /&gt;
# Take 20-30ml of water from the boiling pasta and add to the sauce and allow to sit, covered.&lt;br /&gt;
# Drain pasta.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ideally, served in a bowl.&lt;br /&gt;
