{"id":1995,"date":"2019-01-23T13:01:44","date_gmt":"2019-01-23T12:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/samjwatkins.com\/blog\/?p=1995"},"modified":"2019-01-23T13:01:44","modified_gmt":"2019-01-23T12:01:44","slug":"i-love-a-good-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/samjwatkins.com\/blog\/?p=1995","title":{"rendered":"I love a good plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In <a href=\"http:\/\/samjwatkins.com\/blog\/?p=1786\">What does exercise do to your blood sugar levels?<\/a> I shared what I did for the 47 mile (45 mile my ****) Palace to Palace run.<\/p>\n<p>Planning for 100 miles should be similar.\u00a0 I am not looking to break any record (though doing it in 8 hours would be amazing), just make it to the end in one piece.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to an experienced long distance cyclist with type 1, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/athletes\/2614184?hl=en-GB\">James Fletcher<\/a>, I am going to make use of glucose packs to give me an extra boost at 50 miles and 75 miles as well as the coke and Soreen.\u00a0 I am planning on a light lunch (maybe pasta salad) around noon.<\/p>\n<p>Having finally gotten over my bug from the new year, I am feeling a bit more energetic.\u00a0 The biggest shock was how tiring even walking has been the past couple of weeks. I am heading into London on Friday before travelling on a skiing trip.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe I&#8217;ll do an easy session at the gym later.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In What does exercise do to your blood sugar levels?
